One of two cottages located quietly by the village stream, High Bridge sleeps six and offers high quality, comfortable accommodation, with great views of the fells from the upstairs main room. Forget the car, you can walk from the doorstep for weeks on end! In addition the northern Lake District offers plenty of attractions for those who just wish to relax or enjoy themselves in stimulating surroundings. Braithwaite is a friendly village, with three pubs and two shops, and Keswick is only 3 miles away. The cottage is dog-friendly and non-smoking. Bridge End is a recently converted self-catering holiday cottage for up to 4 people in a peaceful location, overlooking Coledale Beck in the centre of the beautiful northern Lake District village of Braithwaite. Surrounding by majestic mountains, beautiful scenery and only a few minutes drive from the lakes of Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite, together with the bustling market town of Keswick only 3 miles away, this really is a perfect location to spend time away from it all with family or friends. Lovingly converted during Winter 2004, there is spacious accommodation for up to 4 adults in 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin), a luxury bathroom with power shower and bath, modern, fully fitted kitchen, open plan lounge and dining room, with patio doors onto a small patio and garden, with views up to Grizedale Pike. Tasteful furnishings, beautiful views and little touches of luxury are all part of the Bridge End experience. Located in a quiet part of the village, we have two excellent Lakeland Inns within walking distance serving great food and real ales. Excellent walking is available right on your doorstep in this beautiful part of the northern Lake District and you won't need your car to enjoy some great days out on the fells,
